The Art of War

The rumors began to fly, court began and all that was on the lips and minds of the Kindred of Sacramento, was war. The city got a reliable tip that the Sabbat had moved into Davis. The rumors of a Sabbat War Party comprised of Antitribu Gangrel and Antitribu Brujah were brewing. The Prince responded by launching a counter force to enter Davis. Recoil, however, did not spread the city to thin. He maintained a unit of Elder Kindred to defend the city with their trusted minions. The Davis Assault Force returned informing the Prince that it was a diversion, there was no Sabbat attack. The reliable tip was planted by someone on the inide. The Sabbat are assumed not to have attacked because of Recoil's vigil over the city. However, Sacramento's walls were breached but not broken. With one attack by an outside Sabbat, Recoil, began the process of systematically bringing to justice the well-investigated suspects of Sabbat Infiltraitors and Infernalists. Well have to see where this overhaul of the city at the beginning of a Sabbat war is going to go.


A Word From The Seneschal

I have seen in my minds eye, trials to come. We will reach these bridges and cross them with a little more caution. We managed to do so this time. We have not been so fortunate in the past. The view of the future is easy to read. One just needs to find the right ways to read the omens. I warned Recoil that going to Davis would be a bad idea. I knew not why at the time. Xavier, Misery, Lark, Sasha, a few others and I went to Davis. Recoil decided to stay with some to defend Sacramento while we were away. We found nothing to the allogations brought to us by the mysterious Ventrue visitor from Davis. I let the others know that I suspected a diversionary tactic. After that, many of us returned to find that Sacramento had already been under seige. I warned the kindred to seek shelter from this oncoming storm. I am glad we have averted this disaster. I hope that my insights can serve us better in the future. The fire and sewage explosion in the back of elysium were more than a coincidence. Here is why I think so: Why was the Media there before Hazmat and the Fire department? We have some investigating to do. It could be that our enemies set this up. Or, it could mean that someone on the inside helped. Twitch a.k.a. Sancho worked with the Sabbat under our noses, also, the Giovanni that was destroyed the other night. It is time for caution, Sacramento, not suspicion. Many of us have the ability to ferret out any traitors. I suggest we use these abilities. For more information contact me. Rogue Trip

Three Camarilla Kindred went to capture the four rogue Tremere that were involved in the San Francisco Tremere Chantry destruction. Lark of Clan Tremere, Feint and Allister Holland of Clan Nosferatu all went to end the problem of having loose strings of the Tremere clan in the Sacramento Vicinity. And boy did they ever...after staking the four renegade Tremere, the group returned to the city of Sacramento. Lark had made his phone calls and learned that execution or destruction was the order for the Tremere and saw t it that the four rogue Tremere had become four piles of ashes. At Closing Court, Allister Holland and Feint of Clan Nosferatu were given the status trustworthy by Lark for their assistance in ending the perilous task of rounding up the dangerous Tremere. Hopefully the relationship between Sacramento and San Francisco finds greater ties from this event.

Brainless Brujah

With everything that happened Saturday night why would Krom have to go and add to the mess? He got into peoples faces for no reason and shot Switchblade in the head just because he was bored. Well Krom just proved the old Brujah stereotype. That Brujah don't think just hit. Grow some brains Brujah. I don't think it makes our beloved Prince Recoil look to good when his clan is running around being idiots.

Fixer Upper

Massive damage was done to the Elysium site this week when several power lines and telephone poles were destroyed. While Kindred retained the use of electricity in the building through the use of an emergency backup generator, they were further inconvenienced when someone created a gas leak by destroying the gas main. Soon thereafter, a sewage truck was called to the site and lit on fire, scorching everyone in the vicinity and doing light structural damage to the outside of the building. A media barrage appeared on the seen immediately thereafter, during a non-related brief cessation of supernatural activity, but where quickly shooed away. Property damage surrounding a Masonic hall was “nothing to see.” Several officials found monies assumed embezzled from the Elysium general fund to repair the damage to the property. Municipal officials whisper however, that there are not funds to continually repair city property without a tax hike: bad news in an election year.

Pro-Fairness

Following the execution of a member of the Giovanni last week, the family has issued a protest. Countering claims that they are hiding behind a treaty, the Giovanni allege that the Camarilla has overstepped its bounds, holding the Necromancers to broad legislation while overstepping its right to execute Independent Vampires. The Necromancers further assert that the Camarilla has assumed too much in its treaty, expecting cooperation and assistance without recompense or the rights of citizenship. Representatives of both parties are expected to discuss the matter more thoroughly.

A Sabbat pack, founded in Sacramento, has gone missing. The group had been making infrequent contact with their Bishop, and has recently fallen off the map. There whereabouts are currently unknown, although, realizing vital information has been leaked, the Sabbat have reason to suspect that there is a traitor in their midst.

Upon hearing a surprise distress call from the rogue Tremere element, a rescue team was quickly formed to extract them from Stockton, where hostile forces had surrounded them. The four have not been seen since. Vienna has restated its stake-and-deliver order, while San Francisco’s Prince Jennings suspects a foul end, and has considered sanctions upon Sacramento Kindred and Tremere in general.

Sabbat, Infernalists, and Lasombras Oh My

Oh what a night in Sacramento Town it was. A Sabbat attack in Davis foiled because none bothered to show up. Instead, they came here to play in the shadows, almost kndrednapping Feather. Power poles for several blocks were yanked downm causing a nice power outage, exlosions outside Elysium and Lasombras everywhere darkening our city streets. A televsion crew came to take our pictures-again. Upstairs, Infernalists went up in smoke near dawn. I just wonder who all got ashed that night? Well folks, another night of pure chaos again.

Is it Live, or is it Epilepsy?

LiveDemo's controversial gaming system is growing in popularity with teens in Sacramento. What has been named "FunComas" has caused concern in the parents of many teens who are inducing voluntary seizures through the use of video games dangerous side effect. When asked, one teenager was noted as saying "Computer Coma's Are cool man...they are such a rush...flippin' out an sh*t...it's cool." Doctors and parents everywhere are trying to spread the word about this to put a stop this extremely dangerous activity. As a result LiveDemo's stock prices have plummetted from $18.30 per share...to a shocking $12.00 per share.

Sesame Street Sheriff Removed

Michael of Clan Nosferatu was removed of the position of Sheriff and all status that postion holds. The Prince was noted as saying that Michael could not uphold his duties and Recoil had expressed his concern over his mental inability. "That position has lost it's shine man, and I need a good person in that chair that is going to be the long arm of the law...not some singing jackass...and is actually here when we need our Sheriff, especially because of our current situation with the Sabbat". The Prince then made known his plans for Dr. Collins and Father Natasha to evaluate Michaels state of mind and find out what exactly happened to his once sound mind.

Sabbat Report Card

Now that the dust has settled let's evaluate the Sabbat raid. Give credit where credit is due. The Sabbat got six ELDERS to run to Davis on a bogus call. Nice. I give them an A for creativity. Thinking that the Sabbat had the city fooled one would think that they had the upper hand. Targets of opportunity that the Sabbat had chosen were insignificant and the departure of these individuals wouldn't have made a difference. Who is that new Ventrue? Feather? Damn Sabbat, why couldn't you finish the job? I hear people saying that all over the place. Did I miss anyone? If I did then I guess you weren't important enough. Catch my drift? Grade F. Sabbat back bone. Is there such a thing? The Sabbat when challenged by Xavier to combat shivered in fear so much that they ran away under the safety of nightfall. Now if I were Sabbat, a rogue LASOMBRA would be the perfect target of opportunity. Thanks guys you screwed the pooch once again. Grade F. Total GPA: D.

Mr. Quick and the Dead

Rumor has it that the very fast, though somewhat dimwitted former janitor, now dimwitted Gangrel -- Mr. Quick, who...quickly torpored and made off with Toreador Primogen Shell Riveria and the Ventrue Primogen as well, is extremely angry that Miss Riveria was released by a Sabbat Elder after only cursory questioning, as he had hoped to buy a new Mercedes-Benz with his share of the ransom. He also became angry that his Ductus, may he rest in peace, violently prevented him from staking and torporing Dora Sinclair, who he had hoped to impress with his new Benz, when he got it. Later, in Stockton, he was heard pleading with his Bishop to be allowed to fight DaCosta under the rules of Monomacy. Then, composing himself, he struggled to read to his Bishop a prepared statement, written by a smarter person, but in keeping with his own sentiments, "Not all Gangrels are cowards who hide behind their friends and play at politics like...Barbara Moore. Most of us are free, proud, and fierce, unlike that pathetic shadow of a Gangrel/Caitiff...Moore."

Congressman Dead

Due to the recent death of Congressman Danvers has shocked millions. With his unexpected death there will be an Emergency election on November 18th. Mrs. Danvers has decided to run in the election. But, many occult fantics have rumored that the Congresional seat is haunted and cursed. One stated, "No one will live through the term."

The Littlest Malkavian

Members of Clan Malkavian recieved a shock this week when a young man of 13 presented himself to the Primogen and Whipof the Clan asking for help in aprehending the armed intruders who broke into his home, murdered his parents, and left him embraced. Members of the clan offered him haven in the city for the duration of the ongoing investigation.

Malkavian Elder and Seneschal Jonathan uncovered a cluster of Infernalists within the city. Confirming the Sabbat’s claims of corruption within the Camarilla, the scoundrels sought refuge by joining the attack force this week. Upon Jonathan’s revelation, the exposed Slaves vaporized in a cloud of brimstone and sulfur. Reverend Felix Culpa, Inquisitor, has begun a cleansing of his Sect, although it remains to be seen what the Camarilla will do to police its own.

We Want You

The Dove, the Sabbat liaison, has confirmed that with the capture and interrogation of several Camarilla citizens, seizure of Sacramento proceeds on schedule. In keeping with its expansionist policy, a new Bishop will be appointed for the territory after the annex. While contention among the Sword of Caine is fierce, Camarilla recruits are promised consideration for exemplary service. Those that are interested are invited to inquire. The Infernal will not be entertained.

Gambling

Either the Sabbat were bluffing or they were incompitent. During opening Court Saturday, a Kindred from the Camarilla city of Davis (the one run by Soze). He informed Sacramento that the Sabbat were in the process of taking our neighbor city. An offensive was immediatly planned for that night. The action was headed up by Allister Holland, Misery and Xavier. The city was left in the hands of E-Gad and the Prince. Upon arrival in Davis, the group, consisting of many of the cities elders, including Father Natasha, Regent Lark and the Seneschal, Jonathan, found that the siege had been a hoax and a real raid was planned for Sacramento. But all was quiet back home. The Sabbat made a pathetic siege attempt on the Elysium in Sacramento after the Elders returned. It was easily pushed back by Allister, Xavier and the Prince, among others. Sacramento remains in Camarilla control. Perhaps the Sabbat are lacking the courage and strength they are famous for boasting about.
