Fallen Angel: A Kind of Different Game, a Different Kind of Walking Dead
K. Rrypt Kicker
Despite controversy surrounding its VR adventure game Fallen Angel, Live Demo held its $1,000,000 National Fallen Angel Tournament last night in a number of locations in the Sacramento area. The tourney, the first of its scope in the area, drew a number of prominent Kindred and others to compete for the prize. Unknown to the competitors, the programs served to program the players to perform a ritual which allowed the barrier between the worlds of the living and the dead to be opened, and the players, numbering in the low thousands, to be possessed by ghosts. Despite last-minute efforts by local Kindred, the ritual continued largely as planned. Estimates place the number of freed wraiths and corresponding humans or others possessed at several hundred locally, as well as as many as 2000 nationwide. Lark, Regent of Sacramento Tremere, advises a wait and see approach to the wraiths loosed by the ritual. "it may be that they simply wish an existence in this world. It's still too early to tell."

Negotiating Team Brings Peace to the Sewers
by Angelo De La Torre
While fierce Camarilla-Sabbat firefights raged overnight throughout Sacramento, Father Natasha Liege, accompanied with a small team of negotiators, met with a Sabbat pack in the sewers of Sacramento. Travel was hindered by Sabbat settlers that had blockaded the passages in protest but Father Natasha Liege led the negotiating team to the former quarters of Alister Holland where negotiations were held. Father Natasha Liege made it clear any interim agreements to allow Sabbat to reside in Sacramento were null and void. Sabbat ideologies and practices had made Sacramento occupation a non-option at this time and Sabbat forces needed to withdraw to Stockton. Supported with the superior negotiating skills of Ventrue Alexander Soze and Toreador Angelo De La Torre and a host of notable worthies, the Sabbat were politically squeezed from all sides. Discussions were interrupted briefly by two heat waves, but were successfully concluded nonetheless. Overwhelmed by the unexpected and powerful verbal advice of the debate team the Sabbat folded. In an unexpected good faith gesture the Sabbat allowed the Camarilla team to gather their weapons, escort them to the Grayhound station, and see them off. Continued gestures of this type may be rare as one of the Sabbat was overheard to say, "Damned pacifists!". Meanwhile, violence continued in other Sacramento domains with severe Sabbat losses.

Sinclair Kidnapped Again
by Les B. Inn
Saturday Dora Sinclair sister of Prince Recoil Sinclair was almost kidnapped by Winston Kobeyashi of Clan Ventrue. Though his reasons are unknown, his plans were faltered when Dora screamed and the city came to her rescue. One helpful members of the city named Stone of Clan Gangrel risked his life along with another of clan Brujah which name is unknown. After Dora was pulled away, Kobeyashi ran off more quickly then the average kindred.

"Tearing Down the Shroud"
by Lumin Ar
This week has been eventful. The Sabbat threat seems to be dying down and Recoil appears to be well. The only problem is with the Live Demo situation. To my understanding there was a valiant effort to stop the ritual that was performed by unwitting players in a competition a respected member of the city suffered damage to her business. For all the work by members of the city what did we get? Knowledge that something is coming. If we had been more attentive to this "game" we might have known about the ritual embedded in it. One Tremere member was heard saying that they were "tearing down the shroud" as he fled the scene in fear. This is not something to scuff at, people are possessed and this may make feeding dangerous and hard. Heed the signs and be careful for it is a world of darkness out there and we do not want valued members of the city to be lost in the shadows we should be pushing back.

Changing Tides
by Louis "On time, this time" Cypher
As if it weren't bad enough when it was just the Sabbat trying to kill us, now we have Sabbat, Inquisitors, Sabbat Inquisitors, Infernalists and Red-Listed Kindred trying to kill us. On top of everything, there's property damage through the roof (no pun intended). Where do I begin? First off, The Live Demo tournament turned into a Demon Summoning. Kobeyashi re-appeared and tried to kill Dora. Old Sacramento turned into a blazing inferno. The only high point in the evening is that between The Sheriff Father Natasha, Mr. Soze and our Esteemed Harpy Mr. De La Torre, the Sabbat stronghold in the sewers of Sacramento is now vacant. And guess what? They didn't throw a single punch. They asked the Sabbat to leave. Don't believe me? Ask them yourselves. It's amazing what you can do with words sometimes. Perhaps the Toreador and the Brujah can use theirs to a better purpose than insulting each other. Maybe we might survive.

It Ain't Over 'Till the Fat Lady Sings
by R. Tiste
Deep in the sewers under Old Sacramento, shortly after a huge propane explosion flash burned everyone in the vicinity, a suave Sabbat Ventrue antitribu was speaking. He was flanked by approximately 35 other Sabbat who were surrounding a mere 6 intrepid Camarilla defenders. He was looking one of the defenders--Falstaff Jennings, squarely in the eyes as he said to the disheveled Toreador opera tenor, "the others I understand, but you really don't want to be here, do you?" Flanked on either side by Mr. Alexander Soze and Angelo de la Torre--Falstaff was becoming unbelievably pale even for a vampire, as he glanced down at his badly scorched fedora lying on the ground. He again met the Sabbat leader's gaze and appeared to hesitate, unsure of himself. A stern look from Father Natasha toward Falstaff helped resolve the maestro's ahem…courage. Then with some incredible good luck and also with the extraordinary use of some very rare and equally incredible presence powers, the six stalwart defenders routed the Sabbat shortly thereafter. Of all the kindred in the surrounding Camarilla cities only Falstaff and Mr. Soze have come to help. Overwhelmingly, Sacramento's Camarilla neighbors view the Sabbat threat as overly hyped and the kamikaze attacks as a last desperate act by an all but defeated foe. At least one San Franciscan and one very old German know better.

Old Town Explodes
by Rocky Mountain
The Sabbat, once again, has made the Kindred of Sacramento look like fools. Archon, of clan gargoyle, swooped into stupidity, starting the firefight. Only the swift actions of Damien and Seneschal Jonathan Smith prevented a truly major catastrophe. During the melee, a second flare impacted with the propane truck. Seconds later, it exploded, sending a plume of heat and force shattering a window, buckling the J Street off-ramp, and inflicting severe tire damage on Jonathan. Approximately one-third of the propane had been pumped into the sewer mains. Combined gases and heat caught the water treatment plant and fuel storage tanks on fire. Damage costs are unknown at this time.
