The Bane of Our Fears

Evening Edition VOLUME XXV December 30th, 2000

Bane-ality
by Misery
All men fear something in the dark, be it shadows or the imaginary (or not so) thing in the closet. Well people, we have something more. It is a bane. A rather large one from what I've been told. No, it's not just the one in the Malks body. It is bigger and attached to our Elysium. Yes, attached. Why you might ask? Simple, awhile ago some kindred thought it might be a good idea to hook up with a business and Garou proof the Elysium. This thing is apparently attached in the same or another ritual to the thing that inhabits the Malkavian elder. What has this caused? Strife, breaches of the First Tradition, and numerous other problems. The Garou that came to help us with this problem, Friday, was unable to help free the Malk from the bane when we did have his body in part because of this. I suppose that at the time this was done someone was trying to do what they felt was necessary when we had a situation between the Garou and the Kindred. For protection. Yet once again, some individual(s) lack of foresight or consideration of future consequences has put us on the spot yet again. It is time that we as a group stop looking for the short, easy answers to problems that arise and instead look for the best solutions for all of the city, no matter how hard, long, or difficult they might be. Perhaps in the aftermath of this we will work on building a city that serves for an example to all. We can build something together that will stand the test of time if we stop creating problems for ourselves like this. Until that time, next meeting several of the Kindred will attempt to fight this thing head on if all goes well. I expect to see all of those who share this vision of this city there.

A Happi Ending?
by Louis Cypher
This was truly a sad Gather. By all reports, it is likely that Jonothan Smith Seneschal of Sacramento, is no more. What's worse: his body is still possessed by the powerful bane. The plan to have a lupine come and solve this problem was ruined when she could turn no results. She left the city shortly thereafter, vowing never to return. This is a problem that must be taken care of. Soon. In other news, Lark was bloodhunted for breaches of the Traditions of Masquerade and Hospitality. A neonate was also hunted due to his actions in firing upon members of the city. On a lighter note, it is rumored that the new Kepper of Elysium will be Morgan Powell of Clan Brujah. Congradulations.

The 'Crotch' Says...
by J.R.
Many have not known the activity of the Crotchsniffer Family after their departure from Sacramento. Rumor has it, thru a East Coast Wrestling Circuit, a new tag team sensation has been signed by Vince McMahon and the WWF...The Crotchsniffers. Growing in popularity, due in part with their association of their entry theme "Who let the dogs out" by the Baha Men, and their contraversial finishing move, "The Recoil Buster", the Crotchsniffers are staring stardom in the eye...or sniffing it's crotch. Whatever it may be, there impact on the WWF will be a real slobberknocker.
