Knights of Sacramento

Evening Edition VOLUME XXXI February 10th, 2001

Dark Camelot
by Falstaff
In our World of Darkness, the world of vampires, there is always danger either stalking us, just behind us, waiting for a mistake, or crouching just around the corner. It is always there. Tragically, some Camarilla cities are little better than small outposts surrounded and overrun with barbarism, with chaos and destruction at every corner. The weak and the gentle flee these cities, if they are able. And it is sad that it is so. Sacramento has been tested like few other cities. Bled white from a war with the Sabbat, the city discovered to its horror that the very Shroud itself had been breached. Yet the city has come together to face this most grim event. And in the face of this harshest of tests, the Prince has assembled the mightiest cabinet Sacramento has ever known. The Dream Team. Father Natasha. Egad. Xavier DaCosta. Chancellor Soze. Powerful Elders one and all. And it is in this Dark Camelot, with castle walls made secure by foresight and diligence, that a powerful Prince from the West did pay a friendly visit. And artists displayed their treasures. And a beautiful fairy Queen did dance and bring love. And a bard sang. And a beautiful Rose was protected from harm and given thorns—the swords of the champions of Dark Camelot. And an enigmatic jester made a rare and delightful visit. And the daughters of Arikel danced with their kindred cousins. And the city laughed and danced for a night, in the face of disaster. And then the Prince and his knights and soldiers went off to battle death itself.

Wraith, The Untold Story
by Dastinus
Saturday night was full of suprises and intrigue. It seems we were visited by a recently deceased security guard that worked for Egad at Ares Arms. It seems he was killed by Markus of clan Gangrel who previously denied killing anyone during the raid at Ares Arms. The wraith wreaked havoc upon the gangrel clan and seems to be seeking retribution. Several attacks were made upon Markus by members of his clan at the whim of the wraith as well as Markus hitting himself with his own hammer. Steps were taken to alleviate the wraith's desire for retribution. Ignasio Giovanni was at the forefront of the negotiations with Markus and the wraith. But the wraith is still present in Sacramento and will not leave until the matters have been settled. The moral issues here seem to be forgotten by the members of the city. Should we be allowed to go killing kine whenever we want? Perhaps the culling of the flock mentality is back... I hope not.... remember boys and girls the lesson we learned several centuries back called... The inquisition? Silently I watch, vigilantly I listen and always, I report to you what happens.

Calm before the Storm?
bby Louis Cypher
Gather was eerily quiet. There were no huge breeches. There were no attacks. There were no wholesale bloodhunts. Besides an eerie fog surrounding the building and closing over court ,nothing truly spectacular happened for a change. Hopefully this is due to the fact that everyone is shaping up after what happened with the idiotic members of Clan Gangrel and a few others last week. I, however, doubt it. Rumors flew about all night. A large portion of Clan Gangrel, which seem to be divided between those loyal to the deceased Stone and Jules Verne, and those loyal to Barbara Moore, refused to come to court until the body of Stone was returned. What was left of his corpse was returned to the clan by his executioner, Xavier. Rumors also went on about Clan Gangrel's plan to jump members of the Brujah and Toreador clan. Perhaps the Gangrel just need a Darwin-sweep of their clan. Maybe the rest of the foolish ones will be killed soon, leaving s with the intelligent members to deal with.

The Sacramento Shadow's
KINDRED QUOTE OF THE WEEK

Hopefully now that the defunct Primogen has been disposed of, Clan Gangrel will return to the helpful and intelligent clan we all remember under the guiding hand of Barbara Moore.

Wraith for the Memories
by Ghost in the Machine
A strange fog sprouted from nowhere Saturday night. The fog manisfested shortly after opening court closed. People were behaving unusually, due to a bizzare force speaking through them to Egad. The spirit of James Smith, an employee of Egad, was haunting the Elysium, seeking those ressponsible for his death. Mr.Smith wanted revenge on Marcus of Clan Gangrel for his apparent death. Throught out the evennig, Mr. Smith spoke to several individuals. Among these people he spoke to was the astral form of Feather. The Don of the Giovanni family was finally able strike a deal with the ghost.

Toreador Art Show
by Pete Casso
The Toreador Art Show was a smashing success. Shell, Falstaff, and Ms. Georgia Chase were all in formal apparel as the art show took place over the course of the night. It received rave reviews from several local kindred art critics and drew quite the number of visitors such as the likes of, Prince Jennings of San Francisco, Prince Monty of Davis, and Prince Recoil. The Toreador were challenged to display their art...and they answered with one of the most successful art shows in Sacramento to date.

Oblivion for Dummies
by Ma Elstrom
Got the time, tick, tickin' in my head. Tickin in my head. Counting the time that we don't have left is the problem though. The shroud is torn, and the souls are restless, and one zephyr across oblivion can rip it open. The sea of souls will spill over, if we do not contribute all of our resource towards this problem, you won't be around to use it anyway.

The Chaos of Vampiric Science
by Shadowed Bright Eyes
Recently my little eyes have seen much. A caitiff here in town without any memories has been looking into things with some other kindred. In a search for the past he found a formula that may affect the future of our kind. This formula though flawed, dangerous and most likely against Camarilla law seems to allow the creation of progeny with choosen abilities instead of the abilities gained by the nature of the clans. It would seem that these childer would be true caitiff and a most interesting subject, yet it has been proven that this attempt at science involving our kind has less to do with science than it has to do with blood magic. The reason it is believed to be so is the formula's requirments that i doubt science could back at all. This caitiff was the victim of sabbat style embrace and we have had contact with the kindred who did this via his ghoul. So what does that tell us about kindred... we remain outside that loop, even when science comes into play. More will come as i look into the difference between vampiric science and magic. In closing it has been shown that the caitiff in question is one of two created kindred who survived the formula, but there is one kindred who survived the process after the embrace.
