A Space Oddity
Evening Edition VOLUME 41 May 5th, 2001
White Hole Blacks Out Several Elders
by Ghost in the Machine
Space, the final the frontier. These are the discountinued lives of many kindred. Their ongoing mission to be sucked into an event horizon. to seek out new ways of getting sunburned and curshed to death , to boldly go where no vampire wants to go. So it was said and done. The Phinotech operation impoded into itself and took with it Dr. Daniel Colins, Faynt, Bryce, Samuel Gray, Marie and one other undisclosed caitiff. What began as a simple recon mission turned ugly when a Brujah decided to start a firefight. A seperate group led by Faynt, went thrugh a side door using a stolen securty pass code key. Once inside, they met little resistance of any sort. After bypassing security measures, the inside group made thier way to the internal power source. The mage responsible for the White hole, ran throuhg doorway. A heavy secured door slid into place. Bryce(moron) without thinking opened the metal door. Direct pure, sunlight entered the entire room. Bryce was disetergrated instantly. At this point, the unnamamed Caitiff pused a button on a control panel. The white hole imploded taking with the afore mentioned elders and a sizeable chunk of terrority. Here is to the future.

Big Bang Theory
by DeathInWhite
A night with an ending we won't forget for quite awhile. From lackluster to a split ending that surprised more than a few members of this illustrious city in one fell swoop. It started off slow, in that lazy way that Kindred get while associating with each other of matters of importance. The looking over your back and second guesses due to Soma were still there, but the impact was almost hardly noticeable now. There was some business about the trip to hell floating around, the Nos roaming, the Brujah beating each other up, and then something about a group that needed to be stopped yet again to protect the Traditions. Then there was the "big, bad, evil company that was going to kill us all" yet again to be stopped. So after a mellow night so far, a rather large group of Kindred went out on another ill fated "reconnaissance" mission. It quickly turned yet again into a large, over fought battle. From this, one "brilliant" example of selective embracing decided while in the control room to push buttons. Which started the reaction to start a "hole?" or something that horrendous. Which took several key and useful members of the city with it. Bye now. Since the culprit in this obvious stupid act in now gone, perhaps this is one lesson to be learned from. Perhaps during these little "raids" our city seems so fond of E-Gad should institute a rather harsh rule of death or deserving punishment if you even lip off about doing something stupid since the lives of everyone else on the mission depend on nothing screwing up. Or, just maybe, we should just be a bit more involved and tougher on the new blood in town. Stop the suicidal tendencies before they get a chance to take others with them. Either way, it's always the call of the Prince to decide, so we will see.

Malkavians Mourn Elder
by K. Sommers
Clan Malkav is in mourning tonight as we mark the passing of our beloved Elder and Primogen, Dr. Daniel Collins. Dr. Collins died as he lived, searching into the hidden places others dared not acknowledgd. Few Kindred knew or understood this gentle sadist, this master of forthright guile and subtle paradox. Many called him friend, and with good reason, and to describe him with any justice would be to reveal the secrets the old master held within. Instead, let us remember him as we knew him, with joy in his unlife and sorrow at his passing. May Malkav's blessing follow him always.

'E's Toast!
by Fr. Paul Chapin
'E's not pinin'! 'E's passes on! This Malkavian is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is Maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life! 'E rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'im to the perch 'e'd be pushing up daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket! 'E's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain, and joined the bleedin' choir invisible! THIS IS AN EX-MALKAVIAN!

KINDRED QUOTE OF THE WEEK

While the Prince himself has not yet lifted the blood hunt on my head, I have recieved ten to twenty requests for my presence in elsyium. Half of those were from people I've never heard of and hlaf of them were made with dubious intent and horrid spelling.

I Remember
by Fr. Hræfn Ignatius
It was a warm summer eve as the sun had set an hour or two. The cool breeze rising and carrying the summer stench off the river. As I awoke from my deep slumber of travel the small city lights along the wooded sidewalks, the sounds of people enjoying they’re evening, and the feeling of being home again. The touch of a soft female arm, the fragrance of her perfume, and the taste of her fear, I remember all to well Sacramento. The night of the long knives, the dance of the Ventrue embrace, and the rise of Clan Hraefn continue to warm my heart. I have fond memories as though they were yesterday. My how these change yet the Neonates never do. The blood lust for your prey continues upon each other as though you had nothing better to do than walk along the path that was written for you. You are all just pawns upon which forces you cannot understand direct each action as though it was a comedy of errors. I have worked hard to make this city a place to rest and enjoy the play as it unfolds. That is why I am sending my son to continue with the second act. I believe you will find him much to your liking as he has trained with me for some time now in Tanzania. I will be joining him in due time and would like a good show of your years alone. I have heard many tales and great deeds that have been done with in the city. I hold those foundation acts closely to my heart. I trust the church has left you alone for some time and will continue to help in those matters as will my son. The cappuccino friars have been very helpful in all their matters and I will be visiting them soon. My God reveal him love to you all.

Tanaka Takes His Place as Voice of Gangrel
by Feral Claude
Opening court found a new Voice on the throne of Gangrel Saturday. In a move to maintain solidarity and stability for the Clan, Barbara Moore appointed Yoshiro Tanaka the Clan's Voice, sanctioned to speak for her and the Clan in Primogen Council. Neither Tanaka nor Moore was available for comment on the appointment, but there is already speculation that the elder has agreed to provide an "apron string" for Gangrel desiring to come in out of the cold in conjunction with the efforts of the Malkavian and Toreador Clans in marked contrast to the *Take your turf and hold it" policy of Moore's sire, Mr. Moriah. It will be interesting to see how events develop in coming months.

And One Flew Over the Harpy's Nest...
by Cuckoo
The city's rumormill was shaken this week by the loss of Assistant Harpies Bryce of Clan Gangrel and John Masters of Clan Tzimisce. Masters, it is said, had only hours before been appointed to the position of Chief Harpy by Dot/Kate/Warner/Sommers, who sought to step down for reasons she declined to elaborate, but are believed related to strange events surrounding her and and Gangrel voice Yoshiro "Shredder" Tanaka in recent weeks. So far there is no confirmation that Warner/Sommers intends to step down, but the public eye is watching the Malkavian Harpy's Nest for more details in the future.

Missing Link
by May Bee Not
Even after weeks of investigation no one has been convicted of the death of Seymour Buttcrack. Once questioning the Tremere, fingers are now pointing to Buttcracks own clan, clan Brujah. When asked about what she knew Dora Sinclair Brujah Primogen replied, "I'm doing all that I can...trust me I haven't forgotten." Anyone with any knowledge of Buttcracks disappearance should contact Dora Sinclair or E-Gad. There is talk of a reward for information of the kindred who did this.
