Pests Infect Elysium

Evening Edition VOLUME XII September 30th, 2000

"I'd rather have Rats."
by
The Orkin Man
Sabbat in the Elysium was uneasy. Sabbat recruiting for their minions was just downright uncalled for. Recoil had declared the ceasefire under the pretense that the visiting Sabbat would aid in the extermination of the Infernalists. However, Recoil was on record as saying "The city is a bunch of f***ing idiots sometimes, but they are my idiots, and I am going to protect them, that is my f***ing job, no Sabbat, treaty or not, is going to try and recruit members from my city...this ends now...". Recoil and a select bunch slowly began luring the Sabbat out of the friendly confines of the Elysium and slowly exterminated them. The Sabbat Assamite known as "The Dove" had successfully escaped and is believed to have returned to Stockton.

Failure to Communicate
by
The Dove
Seeking to establish a dialogue with its Camarilla neighbors, several Sabbat claimed ceasefire under Hospitality. The guests fielded questions and offered incentives, most notably free beer, to any that would join their sect while warning that attempts to retain Humanity would be initially frustrating and ultimately deadly. A prompt shouting instructed all freedom of thought and expression was not allowed within the Camarilla system. When kindly asked for a recitation of any by-laws on the subject, only the Harpy could name any of the "Traditions". During this instruction, Camarilla citizens shamelessly assaulted the visitors, tossing at least one Sabbat out the Elysium window onto a Wassailing Camarilla, below. Now, for reasons altogether uncertain and in a turn of events unseen since Carthage, the Malkavians are preparing themselves for battle while the Brujah are calling for peace.

Rituals and Other Goodies
by Elliot Ghouled
With the passing of summer into fall, rituals and magic wree abound during the last week. Dot Warner and and unlikely band of kindred went to Cool, CA, a small town near Auburn, and put a strange elder god to rest. It is amazing what happens a Mythos© card is torn in half. Oddly enough, not a Tremere was to be seen anywhee. The other ritual perforned by Arlan McGuinness, was a bizarre thanksgiving to the gods of chocolate. Many kindred attended this performance. Another ritual is scheduled for the Winter Solstice.

Got Lark?
by Stew Piddazz
The Tremere Region, Lark, was rescued last week from the Umbra when a group of individuals commenced an unsanctioned ritual to enter the Umbra to retrieve him. Lark was thankfully retrieved, but the Elysium was indeed put under threat opening a Umbral Gate that close to our safe haven. No word from Recoil yet about what he intends to do about this.

Catch Anyone?
by Les B. Inn
You would think that Elders would know right from wrong. Being that they have been around for so long. But, it seems that the Elders in Sacramento keep messing up. First Soze, then Kobeyashi, and now our beloved Krom. Krom should his lack of intelligence Saturday by throwing a bath tub out the window while a reporter was standing out side, throwing our very own Dora Sinclair out of a window for no reason, and for attacking an unconscience mortal in the Elsiyum. Can somebody please b**** slap Krom...he is not the brightest crayon in the box.

No More Mr. Nice Prince
by Les B. Inn
Now the Kindred of Sacramento need to mind the First Tradtion more then ever. With reporters, police scares and mortals showing up more often it has not become safe to even say the "V" word. With the minor breechs made by a brujah or two, and the major breechs made by the Lasombra in the front of the Elsiyum it is attracting unwanted attention. But a breech is still a breech. If any more breech's are brought to the Prince's attenion it will be dealt with extreme force.

A Good Thrash-ing
by Pit
Thrash, of Clan Brujah, was freed of his Bloodhunt after bringing Prince Recoil the remains of Winston Kobeyashi. An agreement was reached and Thrash is back in his role as "city bad boy". Thrash's bloodhunt was lifted due to his loyalty to the Camarilla, and his constant pursuit of Kobeyashi. However, everything is still pending by a further investigation by Prince Recoil and his counsel.

Closing Court
by Recoil
Closing Court is our time. I expect to see you all there, cause if you don't know what is going on around this city, and it directly involves you, then I will assume that you are fully responsible for any of your actions. Closing Court will not be interrupted by any means, to do so, will result in time in "Der Kasten", in fact you will be there for one week. I have had enough of the interruptions, there will be no more. Closing Court will begin when you hear it called...if you have been asked by the Prince or any of his counsel to be in closing court, then you will be there or it will result in negative status in our city or other means of punishment. This is our time. Don't waste it.

Smashing Baby, Yeah
by A. Powers
Well those of you in Closing court last week saw a very, very heinous act against the throne. A Kindred from a land to the East attacked Prince Recoil by smashing him over the head with a chair in the middle of court. Recoil didn't even blink as his Seneschal and Xavier of Clan LaSombra, made quick work of this moron...Recoil merely laughed as the assailant was hauled away as a lifeless mound of decaying flesh.

Rio Linda Redux
by Hio Silver
A horse was found roaming Rio Linda Boulevard early Sunday morning, having escaped from it’s nearby stable. The horse, Sugarpuss, was deeply disturbed and missing is tongue. Several neighbors are seeking restitution for minor property caused by the animal. The owner, one Mr. Woody, simply laughed.
